Art Category: Israel 1949 and 1999

I lived in the new state of Israel from 1949 until the middle 1950. I spent most (except for some jobs illustrating) of my time walking and carrying a sketchbook around most of the country. The summer of 1949 was spent in Safed. In late 1949 I contracted Typhoid fever and ,after recovery, was taken to Bet Alfa Kibbutz where I continued to paint as well as working as a goatherd The animal sketches in ink were done in the small Tel Aviv zoo. A trip in 1999 resulted in small watercolors mounted on paper. Again, I have not been able as yet, to title each piece.
